Attendance news

Every day at school adds up, so it's important to make the most of each learning day.

We continue to run all of our attendance incentives this term.  We are pleased to announce that Owls class has achieved 98% and above attendance last week, resulting in a non-uniform day on Friday 19th January.  They will also be rewarded with a tasty breakfast of either pancakes or waffles from our school kitchen.  Well done Owls!  Keep up the good work everyone.

We know and appreciate that winter is one of the peak times during a school year for both adults and children to experience mild illnesses such as colds, coughs and sore throats.  It is therefore especially important at this time of the year for each and every child to strive to have excellent attendance.

Please remember that staff are more than happy to administer any medication that your child may need during the school day.   Please bring the medication to the school office at the beginning of the day and complete the required form.

We are also more than happy to welcome a child to school during the day.  Should they feel unwell in the morning, but their health improves as the day progresses, then please bring them to school.

Our policy for absence due to vomiting and/or diarrhoea is for a child to be absent from school for a complete 24-hour period, symptom free, before they return. Again, this can be partway through the day.

Your support with your child's attendance is appreciated.
