We follow the admissions criteria of the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust. A copy of the Trust’s admissions policy can be found on the Trust's policies page.

We are always happy to show prospective parents round the academy so that parents can get a feel of what our academy is like - please call us to book an appointment.

Children coming into reception year are admitted to school in September of the school year when they have their 5th birthday (i.e. between 1st September and 31st August).

At Eastgate Academy, we have 30 places in reception and 15 places in year 3 each September. Pupils coming into year 3 come to us from our feeder school, Highgate Infants.  For information on Highgate Infants School please click here.

During the summer term each year, we hold open evenings for the September intake for reception and year 3 and there are also various opportunities for parents and new children to come into school to help with the settling in process.

The secondary schools have open days during the autumn term each year when prospective parents and pupils can visit the schools. Details of these can be found on each school's website.

Admission Appeals

If parents wish to appeal against a decision relating to admissions for Eastgate Academy, this must be done in writing and a form can be obtained from the Academy Office or by phoning 01553 773088. The academy follows the appeals process of Norfolk Local Authority.
