Magpies Class 19.5.21
Good afternoon parents and carers,
Yesterday, Magpies Class had a fantastic science lesson where they learnt about Mary Anning and her contributions to Palaeontology. They then had a go at making their own fossils:
The children have also been exploring the features of a ghost story getting ready to plan tomorrow and Friday and to write their own spooky masterpiece next week.
Magpies are also hard at work practising for their leavers assembly, (only 35 schools days left!), pictures from this week's rehearsal will be posted on Friday.
As well as writing a spooky story next week we will:
- Continuing our learning around decimals in Maths, moving onto looking at finding the decimal equivalent of fractions.
- Looking further into the countries of North America and discovering the different environments around this continent.
- Learning about Darwin's theory of natural selection in Science.
In addition to these units, the class will also be completing their project and four lessons of PE.
Magpies Class will need to be in school PE uniform on Wednesday and school uniform on Thursday. For the remaining days, we ask that all children come into school in comfortable clothing that they can do active PE lessons in. (Please no jeans!)
Mrs Seville, Keri, Natasa and Miss Wood.
