Geography
We’ll learn to read and create simple maps, use compass directions (North, South, East, West), understand map symbols and keys, and explore our local area and identify landmarks.
Music
Children will learn and perform songs for the Christmas Nativity, explore rhythm and beat through clapping and movement, and develop confidence in singing as a group.
Religious Education
We’ll reflect on new beginnings and how they make us feel, learn about the Nativity and its significance in Christianity, and discuss kindness and giving during the festive season.
Outdoor Learning
Activities include using natural materials to create simple maps, exploring school grounds for mini-beasts and identifying their micro-habitats, and linking outdoor observations to Science and Geography learning.
How you can help at home:
- Read Stardust together and talk about its message.
- Practice addition and subtraction using real-life examples (e.g., shopping, cooking).
- Go on nature walks and look for signs of habitats and mini beasts.
