Week beginning 17.3.25

Magpies getting ready to watch "If" at the Corn Exchange cinema.

We had two stars of the week this week!

This young lady was celebrated for how her choice of vocabulary helped her to create the right tone for her adventure story. Something that is extremely hard to do!

This young man was celebrated for his resilience in Maths. He worked hard to make sure that he understood a particularly difficult concept. He kept trying, did not give up and eventually managed to independently solve the fractions question on his own!

Magpies took part in a Rail Safety assembly this week and learnt how dangerous train tracks can be. They learnt about why it is not safe to play on the railway tracks (even if they are not used regularly) and how to stay safe when at the station.

Finally, Magpies were able to take a break from assessments this week with a free trip to the Corn Exchange Cinema thanks to Into Movies! And Mrs Hothersall. We watched the movie If which had lots of the class feeling emotional afterwards.
