week beginning 12.05.25

Congratulations to those children who received star of the week certificates and handwriting and presentation awards. Keep up the hard work.

This week, the year 5's from Owls have joined Canaries for a series of outdoor learning lessons.

They have created a dance to show the lifecycle of the Emperor Penguin which links to our Literacy lessons.

We have looked at emotions in RSHE and how we can feel more than one emotion at a time. The children then created transient art using natural resources to represent these emotions.

In art, we created templates for screen prints, and used a roller to print our orange onto the paper.

In maths, children have been learning about equivalent fractions and how to add and subtract fractions with different denominators. During outdoor learning, the children had to go on an equivalent fraction hunt on the field. They started with a fraction, and then had to hunt for the envelope with the equivalent fraction on the front.

Next week is the last week before the half-term break. P.E will be on Tuesday. Spellings will take place on Wednesday, and we will be going on a whole school trip to Lynnsport on Friday.

Thank you for your continued support

Mrs Bussey, Mrs Gosling and Mrs Fyson .
