week beginning 02.06.25

Congratulations to those children who received star of the week and handwriting and presentation certificates this week. Keep up the hard work.

Welcome back to the final half-term of the year. We have lots planned for the next 7 weeks:

Literacy - We will be learning about Mars and writing a journal entry.

Maths - We will be finishing our fractions unit and moving on to geometry and measure.

D.T - We will be learning about Super Seasonal Cooking.

Science - We will be learning about Meteorology.

Geography - We will be learning about East Anglia, The Midlands and Yorkshire.

R.E  - We will be learning about Commitment.

Music - Reflect, rewind and replay - focusing on drumming.

To finish our art module, we have learnt about Intaglio printing and an artist called Rembrandt. The children then created their own mono-print using laminating sheets and paint.

And have also created Tataki Zome print, which is a Japanese art form where natural dyes from flowers and leaves are transferred onto fabric by pounding them.

P.E. will still take place on a Tuesday morning. Please ensure earrings have been removed or taped.

P.E. kit should be as follows: white t-shirt, black shorts/joggers, black jacket and trainers.

Our library slot will continue on a Tuesday afternoon and our spelling tests will take place on a Friday. Thank you for your continued support. Mrs Bussey, Mrs Gosling and Mrs Fyson.
