This week in Outdoor Learning, Doves have been looking at new growth. They planted the field with some wildflower seed bombs and created a bird-food garden on the field.

They have also cleared, topped up and planted up the flower beds in the front of the school car park.  We used wildflower seeds from the King's Coronation sent to us by the Wildlife Trust and sunflower seeds gathered from our own flowers we grew last year.

Penguin's continued their wildlife corridor project.  This week they looked at identifying and classifying trees and plants in the school grounds.  We used a bud identifier on the trees.

Back to Outdoor Learning and the weather was beautiful. Chilly but sunny.

Eagles have been investigating The Tudors.  We have learnt some Tudor games, rhymes and songs.  We also have been recreating The Tudor Rose in chalks on the playground and decorating them with loose parts.

Doves have been investigating the Ancient Egyptians.  We started this week by making chronological timelines and building the events with large and small loose parts, as well as ice.  Which was also fun to throw and smash when we had finished.

Puffins are exploring the change in seasons. We went for a scavenger hunt to find winter things to see, touch, smell and hear.

Penguins have started an ecology project.  This will run all of this half term.  This week we were investigating our outdoor area and looking for signs of wildlife corridors.
